When the damage to your windshield is too great to repair, you need a windshield replacement. Allen Glass Solutions is here to help. 

In most cases we can come to your location and replace your windshield onsite. Our glass repair technician will first remove the rear view mirror and anything else that happens to be attached to the windshield. They will then remove the existing windshield and take it with them when they leave to properly dispose of it.

Once they have removed all the glass fragments around the frame of the windshield they will prep it to receive the new windshield. This will involve applying special calk around the perimeter of the windshield frame. This caulk is what will keep the windshield in place. The technician will then carefully place the new windshield and apply tape around it to hold the windshield in place while the caulk cures. This can take time.

Typically you are instructed to not wash the car for about 7 days and to be careful when closing your doors so as not to have the pressure of a car door closing apply force to the windshield from the inside. For more information go to our windshield replacement services page.
